THE HOTEL

After painstaking renovation of an old, decaying building, the Hotel Colonial de Santillana will open its doors to the public on the twentieth of May. Its aim will be to offer its guests superb service from start to finish, making personal attention, direct contact and friendliness the cornerstones of this exciting family project.

Exquisitely decorated with furniture and artefacts from various origins (often collected on our travels), the hotel will leave no-one cold, since care has been taken to ensure each of its rooms, nooks and crannies offer the quality we proposed at the beginning of this adventure.

THE RESTAURANT

Tapas, beers and whatever you want

The Hotel Colonial de Santillana provides a small but varied, excellent and exquisite menu of dishes prepared from local products from our coasts and our countryside, permitting you to enjoy even more of Cantabria through your every sense. In this regard, we believe you cannot have modernity without tradition.

Thanks to our wonderful terrace, with unique and unobstructed views of the Colegiata de Santillana and the historic quarter, you can enjoy the best espresso coffee and our extensive wine and beer list, always accompanied by the best atmospheric music. Summer afternoons will become one of the best times of the day, mixing rest and relaxation with the pleasure of a fine drink and, above all, good company.

Our hotel has fifteen elegant but welcoming rooms: eleven standard double rooms and four special double rooms. Each is decorated in a unique manner, paying special attention to small details, since we believe that little features make all the difference between good decor and great decor.

Every room is equipped with everything you need to make your stay with us satisfactory in every respect. We will be delighted to meet any requirement you may have insofar as it is possible.

What is our buffet breakfast?
Coffee, infusions, cocoa, orange juice, yogurts, cereals, butter, jam, natural tomato, ham, serrano ham, chorizo and / or salami, fresh cheese, seasonal fruit, wood-fired bread, toast, sobaos pasiegos, Unquera ties, churros (in winter), homemade cakes, honey, olive oil, scrambled eggs, etc.

Breakfast hours
From 7:00 a.m. to 12:00 a.m.

Cancellation policy
The reservation can be canceled free of charge up to three days (seven days in July and August) before the arrival date. If the reservation is canceled three days (seven days in July and August) or less before the arrival date, the client will have to pay 50% of the total price of the reservation.

Our small and cosy hotel, the Hotel Colonial de Santillana, is located in the middle of the historic quarter of Santillana del Mar, declared a site of historic and artistic interest in 1889 and very close to the Cave of Altamira, a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1985. Santillana del Mar also forms part of the network of most beautiful villages of Spain.
